About Kirsteen


Kirsteen Sullivan is the Member of Parliament for Bathgate and Linlithgow, elected in 2024 as a representative of the Labour and Co-operative Party. She won the seat from the Scottish National Party’s Martyn Day, bringing a fresh and dynamic approach to advocating for the local community
Kirsteen studied at the University of Glasgow and Strathclyde Business School, equipping her with a strong foundation in business and public policy. She worked as a business analyst for several private sector organisations, including Scottish Widows, gaining valuable experience in finance and strategic planning.
Before entering Parliament, Kirsteen was a dedicated councillor for Whitburn and Blackburn in West Lothian. From 2017 to 2024, she served as the Labour Depute Leader of West Lothian Council, championing local services, economic growth, and community development.
Elected in the newly formed Bathgate and Linlithgow constituency, Kirsteen secured 47% of the vote in the 2024 General Election. Just weeks later, on 26 July 2024, she delivered her maiden speech in the House of Commons, contributing to the debate on "Making Britain a Clean Energy Superpower."


As an MP, Kirsteen is committed to delivering real change for her constituents, with a strong focus on economic opportunity, social justice, and sustainable development.
